Long-time resident in Japan (since 1993) but originally from Canada. Has written guidebook chapters, magazine articles, tons of blog entries and even a book about less-known aspects of Japan. In his free time, he loves photography, cycling, and exploring interesting and obscure places around the Kansai area.

Awesome photos, as always. I especially like those three guys trying to act macho (or maybe just trying to stay warm). I feel it’s relatively rare to see men in wafuku, compared to the women…
The first picture is quite striking as well. The perfect shade of purple… and just a hint of turquoise peeks out on her underkimono.
Thanks.
Woow! Really impressed with these photos!!!! Can’t wait to show them to my brother! He is a big fan of Japanese fashion!
